Tuesday

This morning a cat came to our window to visit which put a smile on Jodi's face.  We had some leftover leberwurst which he loved.  It sounds like the cat is well known to the hospital.  I gave Jodi a ride in a wheel chair to downtown Bogen today (4 blocks) to see how she does.  She walked around a couple of shops and we had coffee.  She did pretty good but did get tired after a little while.  She is still nervous about leaving the hospital tomorrow, so she may stay one more day.  The doctor gave her a copy of her xray showing her artificial disks, really neat.  The doctor said she is physically ready to go tomorrow if she wants.  She is still stiff and sore, so we will see how she feels tomorrow.

  3. It is great to hear that you are getting out some and making progress! Even thought here are bumps in the road, you are still healing and getting closer to coming home. Keep plugging along and you will be sooo much better before you know it! I also believe you might have some diet dew waiting for you when you get home!

  4. It's amazing how much recovery you've made already. I wish the hospitals here offered as much flexibility, would be good for your spirits to be able to get out for a little bit!
Ryan makes us all smile at school. He's really taken a liking to me as today we were erasing an activity and we were playing bumper boats with our erasers (Klenex erasers). He thought it was hilarious each time we would bump each other.

  6. Good to read things are going well today. As others have said, we've been checking the blog daily to see how much progress you're making.

So, if you're allowed to get out of hospital room tomorrow, how long do they think you guys will stay there after that? Hopefully you'll feel well enough to spend some time seeing some of the sites as well.

    Take care.

  7. Jodi & Mike, Been keeping up with your blogs & so happy to hear all the great progress. Hope you get a chance to do a little site seeing before heading home, sounds like it would be quite an experience. It's been nice to have the sun shine here, kinda windy tho. Hope each day finds you stronger & you'll have a great trip home. Love, Marge & Tracy

  8. Glad to see you had a better day! I hope you get a chance to see more of Germany. I think it would be so fun to go there. Have you used any of the German we learned in High School. he he The only thing I can remember is "gleich um die ecke". We have been keeping you all in our prayers. I even have my church praying for you :) Many have told me they are looking forward to hearing how your surgery turns out because they have or know of someone with major back probs, including our Pastor. I'm praying you have a full and quick recovery!! F/F Amy
